Listening to the original master tapes, the vinyl album was apparently cut at the wrong speed, about three semitones below the original pitch -- which makes the tracks sound a bit dull and unnaturally slow by comparison. Whether this was done deliberately to extend the otherwise rather short playing time, or whether this was an error by the engineer operating the lathe, is unclear.
